Colorado is a national and global leader in the advanced industries. 🔬✨We are thrilled to celebrate Biota’s new 7,500-square-foot headquarters and innovation facility in Longmont.

Biota Inc. is revolutionizing PFAS monitoring with their fully automated “laboratory-in-a-box,” enabling rapid and actionable data at wastewater treatment plants. This milestone was fueled by support from OEDIT’s Advanced Industries Early-Stage Capital and Retention (ESCR) Grant. Biota has since been awarded a second ESCR Grant for a PFAS extraction system that accelerates PFAS testing in environmental labs.

This expansion is a powerful example of Colorado’s thriving bioscience and climate tech ecosystem at work. Innovative construction companies are developing new housing technologies, including modular, panelized and 3D printing, that can help provide more efficient and affordable housing for Coloradans. OEDIT launched the Innovative Housing Incentive Program (IHIP) to help grow a sustainable off-site construction industry to increase the housing supply and promote economic development across the state.

As of June 2026, IHIP grants directly incentivized 1,244 housing units! The program’s growing success demonstrates Colorado’s innovation while growing businesses, creating more jobs and housing, and establishing Colorado as a leader in innovative building technology—today, and for the next 150 years.
