DID YOU KNOW? Douglas County's historic land records are now digitally available at your fingertips.

The Recording Division of the Douglas County Office of Clerk and Recorder has completed a multi-year process of indexing and uploading Douglas County land records dating back to 1866.

“Digitizing the county’s records ensures these historic materials are safe from damage, available for the public to search online, and preserved for all time,” said Deputy Director of Recording Luke Dechant.

One year ago, Douglas County launched Link On Demand in Highlands Ranch. Today, the service is highly rated (riders give it 4.9 out of 5 stars) and is having a positive economic impact.

Based on national research, communities often see $4 in economic and social return for every $1 invested in on-demand transportation.

That includes easier access to jobs, healthcare, shopping, and local businesses—plus the creation of local jobs. Those wages circulate throughout the community as employees spend money locally, support businesses, and contribute tax revenue.

With a projected $6 million investment in 2026, Link could generate an estimated $25 million in positive community impact.
