"The Moon's Shadow on the Earth, as Seen from the Moon", from The Study of the Sky (1896) by Herbert Alonzo Howe. Howe used a $50,000 gift to the University of Denver from Humphrey Chamberlin to fund construction of the Chamberlin Observatory in 1889. In 1892, Howe was named director of the observatory.
