Today did not go the way I hoped-but this was never just about winning an election.

It was about showing up for our community, having real conversations, and standing for what we believe Denton can become. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported, voted, and encouraged this campaign along the way. You gave your time, your trust, and your voice which means more than any result.

To my opponent, Nick Stevens, congratulations. I truly believe we both stepped forward because we care deeply about this community, and I hope we can continue working toward strengthening it together.

This is not the end of anything, it is just a different starting point. I am still here, still committed, and still ready to be part of the work that moves our community forward.

Thank you, Denton. Let’s keep going.

Today is the day! Don’t forget, while your out running errands today to go vote. It is Election Day.

No apps. No shortcuts. No excuses.

Back in the 80’s & 90’s, if you cared about something-you showed up. You stood in line. You made your voice heard. That hasn’t changed.

Today may have passed, but your opportunity hasn’t.
Early voting is still available tomorrow, the 28th, and Election Day is Saturday, May 2.

This community, our streets, our schools, our future-it all comes down to the choices we make right now.

And voting is how we make them.

So throw it back to a time when showing up mattered most. Take a few minutes, head to the polls, and be part of something bigger than yourself.

Get out and vote. Make it count.

Not voting is about as bad as hot dog flavored water.
Seriously-your voice matters, but only if you use it.
You’ve got until 5pm today, plus April 24–28, and Election Day on May 2nd.
No excuses-get out and vote.

It is the day, you got a few more chances if you can’t do it today ya’ll.
Remember your voice matters, and so does your vote! You have April 22-28 and Election Day is May 2nd.

04/19/2026

Tomorrow is the start of voting, and your voice truly matters.

Polls open April 20th, with additional voting days on April 22–28, and Election Day on May 2nd. No matter your schedule, there is time set aside for you to make your voices heard.

This election isn’t just about choosing between candidates-it’s about choosing the direction of our community. Whether you support me or my opponent, Nick Stevens for District 2, what matters most is that you show up and participate. We may have different approaches, but we share a commitment to making our community stronger.

Your vote is your voice. And a community that shows up is a community that gets heard.

Make a plan. Get out. Vote.

As I traveled to El Paso this week for work, I was reminded of just how much our great state has to offer. From one community to the next, I see the strength, pride, and opportunity that makes Texas special. But no matter where I go, it reinforces why I choose to call Denton home.

People from all over are coming to Denton because of what we have built, strong community, opportunity, and a high quality of life. The responsibility we have now is to protect that. That means smart growth, fiscal responsibility, and leadership that listens to the people-not special interests.

Texas is worth fighting for, and so is Denton.

Another opportunity to hear from myself and other candidates this weekend.
