Today's the day!
Letter carriers across the country are heading out on their routes with one extra mission: collecting your donations for the NALC
Food Drive.

If you haven't already, there's still time to help!
Just leave a bag of nonperishable food by your mailbox before your carrier arrives. Every can, every box, every bag helps stock local food pantries and put meals on the table for families facing hunger. 💛

❌STAMP OUT HUNGER❌
May 9th, help our community.

Mail Carriers collect non-perishable food donations left by mailboxes and in post offices and deliver them to local community food banks, pantries and shelters. Nearly 1,500 NALC branches in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands are involved.

The donations from the city of Denton will go directly to our food pantry. They will be used to help our local families get through the summer.

Please check the date on your items and send them our way!

We appreciate it greatly! 💛

✨VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT✨

Kent & Sue 💕

Today we want to take a moment to recognize two very special volunteers
Kent & Sue who have been faithfully serving with us for the past 3 ½ years.

From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with a warm smile and a kind spirit. Sue is often the very first face you see—whether it’s in the heat of summer or the cold of winter—welcoming each person, gathering information, and making everyone feel seen and cared for.

And as you leave, Kent’s there—opening doors, offering a helping hand, and sometimes even assisting with loading food into your car. No matter the weather, he’s often the last face you see, sending you off with kindness and compassion.

Together, they represent the heart of what we do. Their dedication, consistency, and willingness to serve in all conditions do not go unnoticed. They show up, rain or shine, to make a difference in the lives of others—and for that, we are incredibly grateful.

Please join us in thanking these two amazing volunteers for their continued commitment to our community. 💛

Huge 21,000lbs of thanks to
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 🫶🏼

DCFC retained about 21,000 pounds of a semi-truck full of blessings 🚛💨. All donations are important however, this is a community uplift, for which we greatly appreciate🥰. In 2025 we distributed 700,000 lbs of food to the local community 🙌. We average about 20,000 lbs per week. The typical family receives 100 lbs of food (we adjust it based on family size) which includes about 30% shelf stable items such as canned & boxed goods, combined with fresh fruits 🍉 and vegetables 🥕 (30%), frozen meats🥩 (8-15 lbs), bread & bakery 🍞 items, fresh gallons of milk 🥛 and eggs 🍳 . We added fruit juice 🧃 and store donated products, including but not limited to, ready to heat & eat meals from the deli, etc.

Food purchased by: the Tarrant Food Bank 40%, donations from stores, individuals, our generous communities surrounding, contributed 10% and the remaining 50% were purchased locally at retail prices by local donor dollars.

We rely on donations, AND THIS WAS A BIG ONE! 😍

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR DONATION 🙏🥰
