It's National Volunteer Week ~ April 18-24

Denton County and Denton County Public Health have been served by the most incredible volunteers. Through the Vaccination Clinics, we have all seen their extreme dedication to the mission of vaccinating the public. Each time there is a clinic, approximately 400 volunteers show up to make it happen. To say we are grateful is an understatement. Thank you, volunteers! The clinics have proved what we already knew. Press Release: 196 New COVID-19 Cases in Denton County

November 12, 2020 – Denton County Public Health (DCPH) announced 196 new cases of COVID-19 in Denton County, of which 126 are active cases. This increases the cumulative, countywide total to 19,088 COVID-19 cases. DCPH also reported 125 newly recovered cases of COVID-19, increasing the countywide recovery total to 15,319.

DCPH is providing a free drive-thru COVID-19 testing center on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Westside Baptist Church at 900 Bellaire Blvd in Lewisville. Eligible community members must reside in Denton County, pre-register by calling 940-349-2585, and have not previously tested positive for COVID-19. Pre-registration is required and appointments are available starting at 8 AM.

To minimize spread of COVID-19, DCPH urges all community members to:
• Maintain at least six feet of physical distance in public settings and when around individuals outside of the household
• Wear masks or face coverings, which should cover both the nose and mouth, in public settings and when around individuals outside of the household
• Wash and/or sanitize hands frequently
• Stay home if you are symptomatic, have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19, or are awaiting COVID-19 test results

Press Release: 276 New COVID-19 Cases in Denton County

November 9, 2020 – Denton County Public Health (DCPH) announced 276 new cases of COVID-19 in Denton County, of which 186 are active cases. This increases the cumulative, countywide total to 18,390 COVID-19 cases. DCPH also reported 183 newly recovered cases of COVID-19, increasing the countywide recovery total to 14,828.

DCPH is providing a free drive-thru COVID-19 testing center on Friday, November 13, 2020 at North Central Texas College Exchange Parking Garage at 319 E. Sycamore St in Denton. Eligible community members must reside in Denton County, pre-register by calling 940-349-2585, and have not previously tested positive for COVID-19. Pre-registration is required and appointments are available starting at 8 AM.

November 5, 2020 – Denton County Public Health (DCPH) announced 207 new cases of COVID-19 in Denton County, of which 131 are active cases. This increases the cumulative, countywide total to 17,842 COVID-19 cases. DCPH also reported 116 newly recovered cases of COVID-19, increasing the countywide recovery total to 14,476.
