Providence Village! Today is your last day to vote early for Jason Lucas for Providence Village Town Council Place 4! Vote today until 7pm!

As I’ve talked with residents across Providence Village, one thing I’ve heard consistently is that people want transparency, accountability, and a voice in the decisions affecting our community.

Those priorities are exactly why I’m running for Town Council Place 4.

My focus is:

• Transparency & Accountability
• Responsible Growth
• Financial Stewardship
• Community Engagement

I believe residents deserve clear communication, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, and leadership that listens.

Early voting continues through June 9, and Election Day is June 13.

I’d be honored to earn your vote and the opportunity to serve Providence Village.

Did you know that there is ANOTHER election happening right now? 😱

Early voting is open through June 9th, and election day is June 13th. You can see the participating cities, and if you have an election at the link in our bio or on the flyer. 👀

These elections typically have an even smaller turnout, meaning your vote has that much more impact. Let us know if you have questions, and go vote! 💙

Denton is a city defined by its inclusiveness, resilience, and commitment to community. We are a place where every resident deserves to feel safe, respected, and welcome. However, the recent baseless state-level lawsuit against our city over a private, fully-funded community event is a direct attack on those values. We cannot allow unchecked political theater and intimidation to override our local commitment to non-discrimination.

Tomorrow morning, the City Council will hold a closed work session to discuss this litigation. It is vital that our local leaders hear from you today. We need our representatives to stand unequivocally with the community, refuse to cave to unwarranted state pressure, and state clearly that discrimination has no place in Denton.

Please take a few minutes today to email the Mayor and City Council members, and here is my statement for reference. Urge them to protect our community and uphold Denton’s values of inclusion:

Mayor: [email protected]
District 1: [email protected]
District 2: [email protected]
District 3 (Mayor Pro Tem): [email protected]
District 4: [email protected]
At-Large Place 5: [email protected]
At-Large Place 6: [email protected]

Trust is built through accountability, and ensuring basic safety in our city is the bare minimum requirement. Let’s make our voices heard and remind our leaders exactly who they represent.

In Solidarity,
George Ferrie, Candidate for Denton City Council, At-Large Place 5
🌈

Let’s see, let’s see…UNT withdrew their support, Ken Paxton is suing Denton over Swim Day, local hate groups are protesting our events, and local elections are stirring up all the anti-queer loudmouths, voter intimidation and harassment... Welp, we got a few things to say about this.

Join us on the courthouse steps on SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 10AM (after Pride Path) ‘cause we’re gonna RALLY!

We will also be reading THE PEOPLE’S PROCLAMATION officially declaring June Pride Month in Denton, Texas.

A cornerstone of PRIDENTON events are our rallies and marches because we will never forget the roots of Pride—when the community stands up to relentless attacks on our right to exist.

So, wear your Pride gear and bring your signs!
It’s time to be OUT, loud, and proud!
