Denton County 4-H members continue to impress!

From Beef to Veterinary Science, Public Speaking to Photography, our members showcased a year of learning, leadership, service, and project excellence through the 4-H Record Book Contest. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication represented in each of these record books.

Congratulations to all of our county winners and those advancing to District Competition! 🏆

These members will be officially recognized for their achievements at the 2026 Gold Star Banquet later this summer.

District Jackets are a great way to recognize your hard work and achievements in 4-H. Members may earn one jacket per age division (Junior, Intermediate, or Senior).

The 2026 National 4-H Congress event is set for November 27-December 1, 2026, in Atlanta, GA! That means it is time to have all youth who are interested in attending to apply to serve as a 2026 Texas 4-H Delegate at National 4-H Congress.

🏆 Gold Star Award Applications Are Now Available! 🏆

Denton County 4-H members — it’s time to apply for our annual member recognition awards! These awards recognize 4-H members for their hard work, leadership, community service, project involvement, and dedication throughout the year.

If you are new to 4-H, these awards recognize members for everything they have done in the program. Awards are available for different age groups, including:
⭐ Bronze Star (Junior members)
⭐ Silver Star (Intermediate members)
⭐ Gold Star (Senior members – the highest award in 4-H!)
⭐ Danforth “I Dare You” Award
⭐ Farm Bureau Citizenship Award
⭐ Al Petty Scholarship
…and more!

📅 Important Dates:
• July 1, 2026 – Award applications due to the Extension Office by 4:30 PM
• July 14, 2026 – Award interviews (SAVE THIS DATE if you apply)
• August 8, 2026 – Denton County 4-H Gold Star Banquet

🤠 Saddle up for the 2026 District IV 4-H Ultra Leadership Lab! 🤠

This year’s theme, “Legacy of the Brand,” will challenge senior 4-H members to explore leadership, teamwork, character, and the impact they want to leave on their clubs, communities, and future. 🐂⭐

📍 Camp Akiva – Point, Texas
🗓 June 22–24, 2026
💲 $175 (includes lodging, meals, snacks, and camp t-shirt)

Youth will enjoy:
🐴 Western-themed leadership activities
🤝 Team-building challenges
🔥 Fun camp traditions & new friendships
⭐ Leadership development opportunities with 4-H members from across District IV

📌 Eligibility:
Members must be entering grades 9–12 for the 2026–2027 4-H year and be at least 14 years old by September 1, 2026.
