Scattered thunderstorms are possible across North and Central Texas this afternoon and evening as a weak cold front moves through the region. A few storms may produce gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief heavy rainfall. Rain chances are generally 20–30%.

Additional chances for showers and thunderstorms will return late this week and continue through the weekend, with the highest rain chances expected Friday into Saturday. While the severe weather threat remains low, some areas could see periods of heavy rainfall.
