VISTA opportunity located in Dallas, TX.

The Community Outreach VISTA will build capacity for the Epilepsy Foundation Texas by assisting the organization increase support for the services they provide for individuals with epilepsy.

The Epilepsy Foundation Texas located in Dallas, Texas leads the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures and save lives. Established in 1983, the Epilepsy Foundation Texas-Houston/Dallas-Fort Worth/West Texas provides a number of programs and services, including: public and professional education and awareness programs, camp and recreation programs for people with epilepsy and their families and specialized medical care throughout the state.

VISTA opportunity located in Denton, TX.

The Policy and Procedure VISTA will work with the Executive Director to help establish intra-organizational systems by merging all systems: Accounting, HR and IT of new organization.

Giving Grace (Grace like Rain) serves families with children in Denton County who are currently homeless or are in danger of becoming homeless. We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of families and assist them in achieving long term financial and personal stability.

The Development and Communications VISTA will build capacity by researching and writing grant proposals, implementing donor-growth strategies, developing strategies for fundraising programs, and increase the community awareness for programs and support.

Dementia Friendly is dedicated to the education of the public in how to interact with a person living with dementia by 1) Offer education sessions and workshops 2) Provide information and referrals available for care partners and persons living with dementia. 3) Work to enhance the lives of persons living with dementia and their care partners through the development of better services, guidance and training for caregivers.
