We’re proud to celebrate receiving a Gold Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA) for the Gainesville Comprehensive Plan! This recognition highlights the vision, collaboration, and hard work that went into creating a forward-looking plan for the Gainesville community.

Valley Quest Design was proud to partner with The Antero Group on the comprehensive planning effort, leading the Parks and Open Space Master Plan component. Our work focused on identifying opportunities to strengthen Gainesville’s parks system, expand open space connections, and create a framework for meaningful outdoor experiences for the community.

Congratulations to The Antero Group, the City of Gainesville, and everyone who contributed to this successful effort! A special thanks goes to Sean Hunt for his contribution in the planning efforts as well. We’re honored to have played a role in a project that will help guide the community’s growth and investment for years to come.

We would like to introduce you to Coleman Junell, who joined us as an intern in 2025 and has been an integral part of our team for the past year. He has entered his final year at Oklahoma State University, and set to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture. Outside of work he loves to spend time with his wife, play golf, and enjoy the outdoors. Coleman is kind, self-motivated, helpful, dependable, and trustworthy. His desire to learn, specifically about how to operate a small business, is like nothing we’ve ever seen. His roles and responsibilities have increased so significantly since joining Valley Quest, that there is little he’s not able to take on as an aspiring professional. He is highly valued, and it has been our pleasure to watch him grow. Please join us in congratulating him for all that he has achieved!

This summer, we enjoyed having Sydney Kraus join the Valley Quest Design team as our landscape architecture intern. It was a pleasure having her work alongside us and experience what it's like to help shape our communities…especially in our little Valley.

As Sydney heads back to the University of Arkansas for her final year in the landscape architecture program, we wish her all the best. We're excited to see where her career takes her!

The idea for Giving Grace (formerly Grace Like Rain) and Valley Quest Design both began in the same small church group, one dreaming of a ministry to serve families facing homelessness, the other of a creative, people-centric design consulting firm.
Soon after, VQD helped shape the vision for Love First Community—identifying the right property and offering pro-bono site concepts until the perfect fit emerged. VQD then co-led the Planned Development process, securing P&Z and City Council approval, and now serve as landscape architect of record for Phase 1 (under construction).
When complete, this community will support 60+ families in one love-filled location. Being part of this from the very beginning has been one of our greatest honors.
