I want to live in an America that is actually America.

I don’t want a country that apologizes for its history, abandons its borders, erases its culture, and tells you that everything that made us great was something to be ashamed of.

I mean the real America. The one built on faith, hard work, and the belief that freedom is worth defending.

That America doesn’t maintain itself. You have to fight for it.

Every day I walk into the Capitol, I am thinking about one thing: what does this country look like for our kids? What do they inherit? Do they grow up in a nation they recognize — one with a culture, an identity, a shared set of values — or do they inherit a country that forgot what it was?

The left has a plan, and it is not subtle: open the borders, flood the country, and fundamentally transform America into something our founders would not recognize and our grandchildren will not either.

I’m not going to let that happen.

America has a distinct culture, a distinct history, and a distinct heritage. My children will inherit whatever we leave them. I am not leaving them a country that doesn’t recognize itself.

America is worth fighting for.
