Denton, early voting starts Monday, June 1st, and our city needs you to show up again! 🫶
Throughout this campaign, we have heard a lot about my opponent’s time on boards and committees. Boards and titles do not equal results. Results equal results.
Here’s what I know. Denton’s affordable housing crisis has not improved. Our unsheltered numbers have soared. Our quality of life scores have dropped. All the while, our budget has skyrocketed to $2.55 billion and facing a projected $14.5 million deficit, the city and council responded by cutting programs and raising taxes and utility rates on Denton residents. That changes when we have stronger accountability at the table. I will be that voice.
I am Erica Garland, a 16-year Denton resident, a mom of four, full-time corporate professional, former Airport Advisory Board member, and currently serving as one of your Planning and Zoning Commissioners.
I’m endorsed by the Denton Police Officers Association and the Denton Firefighters Association. I am running for you. I am running for all Dentonites. I am running to get things done for the people who live here.
