It's SEA TURTLE WEEK, and yesterday was World Sea Turtle Day. I fell in love with the loggerhead species when I moved to the Lowcountry decades ago, volunteering with the Island Turtle Team here, also called the "Turtle Ladies". The loggerhead calls our beach home every nesting season, and I shared my admiration for this ancient species in my series, THE BEACH HOUSE. And then later, for the next generation in THE ISLANDERS, a middle grade series co-written with Angela May Books that highlights the magic of nature through outdoor adventures.

We made it to State FFA Convention in Greenville, SC and our Ag Communications Team did great on their presentation and exam. Now we wait for results & enjoy the sessions!
