The City of Denison is conducting an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) survey to gather feedback from residents, visitors, businesses, and community stakeholders regarding accessibility within City facilities, programs, services, parks, sidewalks, and public spaces.

This questionnaire is intended to help identify barriers to access, evaluate current accommodations, and better understand the needs and experiences of individuals with disabilities and those who care for or assist them.

Information collected through the survey will assist the City of Denison in improving accessibility, ensuring compliance with ADA requirements, and guiding future planning and improvements.

Help protect your water, Denison!💧

Stormwater runoff isn't just rain. As it travels over rooftops, streets, parking lots, and lawns, it collects pollutants that can make their way into our local lakes, streams, and creeks.

Common stormwater pollutants include:
❌ Pet waste
❌ Litter and debris
❌ Motor oil and automotive fluids
❌ Leaves and grass clippings
❌ Fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals

By properly disposing of waste and keeping pollutants out of storm drains, we can all help protect Denison's waterways.

As we close out the month, we want to recognize May as Motorcycle Awareness Month here in Denison. While safety should be a priority every month, this observance serves as an important reminder of the responsibility we all share on the road.

Mayor Crawley proclaimed that “motorcycles are a significant and increasingly popular mode of transportation, requiring heightened awareness, skill, and mutual respect among all who share the roadways. Motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable and face a higher risk of injury or fatality in traffic collisions. Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month serves as an important reminder to all drivers to remain vigilant, to look twice for motorcycles, and to practice safe driving habits that protect riders and motorists alike.”
