It’s sad day for the Demorest Police department as our Asst. Chief James Minutello has decided to leave us and go to work for the Habersham County Sheriff’s office as an investigator. I have worked with James for the past ten years and he is a great friend and like a brother to me. I wish him all the best on his new chapter. He will be missed here in Demorest!

SCAM ALERT!!!! If you get any kind of message on any social media or text from the Demorest Police Department or any one that says they are Chief Chastain or works with Chief Chastain this is a scam. We will never reach out for any money or ask you to make any kind of PIN number for anyone!!
