Hosting an exchange student is a rewarding opportunity to share your home, learn about another culture, and create lifelong connections. Exchange students become part of your family while attending school, participating in activities, and experiencing everyday life in our community.

🍎Don't forget Delton Kellogg Schools Summer Meals To-Go Program will be returning again this summer!☀️
We are proud to continue providing FREE meals for children and teens ages 0–18 through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Families will be able to pick up multiple meals at once to help make summer a little easier and more convenient.
📍 Pickup Location: Delton-Kellogg High School Parking Lot
🕓 Thursdays from 4:00–5:30 PM
📅 Program runs June through August

Each weekly pickup includes:
🥞 7 Breakfasts
🥪 7 Lunches
🍎 Fruits, Vegetables & Milk
⚠️ Meals must be picked up by a parent/guardian. Children do not need to be present.

Friday, June 5 all school offices will be closed except central office

All school offices will be open June 8-12 from 7am-3pm. 📆

Central Office is open through the summer from 7-3:30pm Monday-Friday.⏰

All school offices will reopen on August 10 from 7am-3pm.☎️

Don’t worry — it happens to the best of us! There’s still time to get your future kindergartener signed up for Kindergarten Screening! 🍎✏️📚

📅 Kindergarten Screening Dates:
➡️ Monday, June 1 | 3:30–6:00 PM
➡️ Tuesday, June 2 | 12:30–3:30 PM

Maria was selected out of all of ICES students throughout the entire United States to be student of the month. She won this honor over thousands of other international students. Huge accomplishment!!! Thought you may want to share in the newsletter or any other way.

From ICES:
Please join us in celebrating Maria from Spain, who has spent her exchange year in Hickory Corners, Michigan! When Maria first arrived, she was shy, reserved, and hesitant to engage. Over the course of her exchange year, her growth has been nothing short of remarkable. From nervous first conversations to walking confidently into exit orientation laughing, engaging, and heading off to her powder puff game, Maria’s journey has been a beautiful example of personal transformation 💙

Maria embraced new experiences every step of the way—participating in cheer, making varsity basketball despite never having played before, and dual sporting this spring in both track & field and flag football, all while maintaining straight A’s. Her growing confidence, initiative, and communication skills helped her navigate challenges with maturity and courage. Maria’s story is a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact of cultural exchange.
