DCVFC and surrounding mutual aid companies were alerted for a reported structure fire in the 1000 block of Atom Road. Chief 57 arrived to a 2 1/2 single family dwelling with nothing evident. Engine 57 w/ 8 personnel arrived and investigated an odor of smoke in the attic after the thunderstorm knocked a tree and primary power lines down. After no conditions were found inside, Chief 57 held the assignment to station 57 units and requested PECO to the scene. The box was placed in service on good intent. Ambulance 95-11 also responded.

Brush 57, Engine 57, Rescue 57, and Chief 57 are operating on a field fire in the 200 block of Burke Road in Peach Bottom Township. Initial calls reported a field fire the “size of a football field”. Chief 57 arrived to find 2 acres off and requested 2 more brush trucks and an additional engine from Harford County.

🚨ROAD CLOSURE ALERT🚨

Main Street will be closed tomorrow, Thursday June 4th and Friday June 5th from 6am-7pm from Dooley Road to Broad Street Extended for maintenance. Motorists will have to utilize Chestnut Street and side streets.

This evening STAT MedEvac flew down to train with us at the local community center. Members got to tour the inside of the helicopter and talked with the pilot and instructor on what they look for when establishing a landing zone. Communication between the ground contact and the flight crew plays a vital role in safe landing.

Fun fact: STAT MedEvac averages 12,500 flights per year between on scene emergencies and hospital to hospital transports.

⚠️TRAFFIC INCIDENT ALERT⚠️

Rescue 57, Engine 57, Ambulance 95-11 and Medic 95-2 are on the scene of a vehicle accident with rollover on Flintville Road in the area of Orchard Road. 1 patient is being evaluated for minor injuries. Please avoid the area. Slow down and be prepared to detour if traveling in the area.

One of our members lost a family member this past Friday due to a tragic motorcycle accident in the Darlington area.
