Sara, Paolo, and Genepy escaped some rainy weather to spend time at the Sullivan Roadhouse. Sara and Paolo began their adventures in Torino, Italy. Their year long journey took them through many countries, including Morocco, Russia, and Mongolia before reaching Japan. It was in Japan that they picked up Genepy, a Shiba Inu that some refer to as the fox dog. “ Our Rottweiler had passed away from old age and we were looking for a another dog to travel with us and our cat,” explained Sara.
The three explored the Roadhouse with Sarah pointing out “This is what we like to see. Historical places that exemplifies the area’s history and meeting people along the way. Who knows we may even run into some of you down the road! It wouldn’t be the first time.”
The couple, along with Genepy and their cat, will spend approximately a month exploring Alaska before heading south. Their travels will take them through the national parks down to Baja California, with the end goal of spending the winter in Mexico.
“After that, who knows,” smiled Sara. “ We may head south down through Central America to South America, or explore more of the United States, or maybe even head home. In the meantime, we are just seeing and taking in everything through our travels.”
People are welcome to follow their travels on their Instagram account at VANDIPETY, or at www. Vandipety.it.
