As long-time EMS providers, this story out of Brantley County is deeply moving. This one is especially close to our hearts, with personal connections to those impacted by these fires.

While serving his community on the front lines of the wildfire response, this medic continued to answer calls and care for others—even as his own home was burning.

This kind of sacrifice is not unique to one profession, but is shared among those who serve—EMS, fire, law enforcement, and military.

We are lifting him, his family, and the entire Brantley County community in prayer. 🙏

We also echo the reminder from Brantley County Sheriff’s Office—strength isn’t just showing up for others, it’s knowing when to reach out for support.

If you or someone you know has been impacted, please don’t carry it alone:

• American Red Cross – 1-800-RED-CROSS

Honoring the voices behind the scenes—thank you for all you do. 💛

🚑 On Duty at Arctic Man 2026 ❄️🏔️

Arctic Man brings big energy, long days, and a lot of people to a remote part of Alaska—and Delta Medical Transport is proud to be part of the medical support team helping keep everyone safe.

Our crews are on standby with a medical tent and ambulance, providing patient care and transport throughout the event—from race-related incidents to late-night medical needs.

We’re also working in coordination with local EMS partners, including BDR, to help reduce response times and support an already stretched system during this high-demand event. By being on site, we’re able to assist with patient care and transport, helping ensure resources are available where they’re needed most.

This is what EMS is all about—professionalism, collaboration, and showing up for the community.

👏 Thank you to our crew members for their dedication and to our partner agencies for working together to make Arctic Man 2026 a safe and successful event.

This past weekend, Delta Medical Transport was honored to receive the Interior Region Service Provider of the Year award at the Interior Alaska EMS Symposium.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire crew and administrative team, who continue to prioritize quality patient care, strong clinical outcomes, and service to the community. It also speaks to a culture built on continuous improvement, collaboration, and a commitment to doing this work the right way.

For many years, our team has had the privilege of serving the Delta community while working alongside local, regional, and state partners—not only in delivering care, but in advocating for strong, sustainable EMS systems across Interior Alaska.

This past week marked a transition, as we are no longer the 911 ambulance provider for Delta. We are grateful for the opportunity we’ve had to serve and for the many partnerships that have been built along the way.

To our crew—past and present—thank you for your professionalism, your leadership, and your heart for this work. This award belongs to you.

While our role in Delta has changed, our commitment to advancing patient care and supporting strong EMS systems across Interior Alaska remains unchanged.

Today is our final day serving as the 911 ambulance provider for the Delta Junction community.

It’s hard to put into words what this chapter has meant—not just for Delta Medical Transport, but for our family, our crew members, and for us personally.

Delta Medical Transport was founded to meet a clear need for consistent, reliable patient care in this community. Together, with our crew, we built this company with a vision to serve—to show up when it mattered most. Over the years, we’ve had the honor of doing just that.

We’ve been invited into homes in moments of fear, grief, uncertainty, and hope. That kind of trust is something we have never taken lightly.

To our patients and families—thank you for trusting us when it mattered most.

To our crew members, past and present—you are the heart of this service. Your compassion, skill, long hours, and quiet sacrifices made this more than just a job. You built something meaningful here, and we are incredibly proud of each of you.

To the volunteers, fire departments, dispatchers, and our mutual aid partners—thank you for standing beside us, call after call. This work has always been a team effort, and we are better because of each of you.

This journey has not been easy. It has required sacrifice, resilience, and a deep commitment to doing what was right for patients—day in and day out—regardless of the challenges behind the scenes.

For us as a family, this has been more than a business. It has been our life. We have worked side by side—building, leading, and supporting one another through every high and low—and we are deeply grateful for that partnership and for the opportunity to serve this community together.

Delta Medical Transport has never just been about transporting patients. It has been about people. About showing up. About doing our very best, even when it was hard.

While today marks the end of this chapter in Delta Junction, what was built here—the relationships, the impact, the care—doesn’t just disappear. It carries forward in every life touched and every person who will continue to serve.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives.

We’re thankful for the coordination and teamwork displayed by all agencies involved in yesterday’s response. In challenging conditions, crews came together to support our neighbors during a serious incident while ensuring our region remained protected.

Mutual aid partnerships like these are vital to the safety of the Interior. We’re honored to work alongside such committed professionals and volunteers.

***Mutual Aid***

At 4:20PM yesterday RDVFD was toned out for a Mutual Aid Request with Salcha Fire for a Motor Vehicle accident.

Four Volunteers Responded in an Apparatus, with four on Standby at the station. Delta Junction Fire Department, Delta Medical Transport, and Alaska State Troopers also responded.

First arriving responders reported a three vehicle accident with multiple serious and critical patients, along with one entrapment.

Due to the distance of response and quality of the Richardson HWY, RDVFD was Cancelled before we were able to arrive on scene. Delta Medical and Salcha medics Transported multiple patients to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
Temperature was +12°F with over 3inches of blowing snow on the roads.

Over the past week, I’ve spent time reflecting on this transition and what it really means — not just for Delta Medical Transport, but for EMS across our region.

While DMT will no longer hold the primary ALS contract in Delta Junction after March 31, our commitment to quality emergency medical care has not changed.

For more than a decade, our work has extended beyond operating an ambulance. We have been deeply involved in conversations about sustainability, funding realities, clinical standards, and how to strengthen emergency medical systems — not only in Delta, but throughout our region and across the Interior road system.

Because this has never simply been about a contract.

It has always been about patient outcomes.
About consistency.
About making sure that when Rural Alaskans call 911, the care that arrives meets a dependable, high standard.

Our role may look different moving forward. But our advocacy for strong, sustainable, high-level ALS services across the region will continue.

Quality matters.
Consistency matters.
Long-term sustainability matters.

No matter who holds a contract, the responsibility to strengthen the EMS and healthcare systems across our region belongs to all of us. I remain committed to being part of solutions that support Rural Alaskans and the providers who serve them.

The mission hasn’t changed.💙
