Lake Worth Drainage District Providing flood control and water supply for over 100 years We are bordered on the west by the Arthur R.

The Lake Worth Drainage District manages the water resources for much of southeastern Palm Beach County, providing comprehensive flood control, water conservation and water supply protection to an estimated 800,000 residents and more than 10,000 acres of agricultural land. Our employees monitor and control a complex system of approximately 500 miles of canals and 1,000 miles of associated rights-of-way, 20 major water control structures and numerous minor structures. Services provided by Lake Worth Drainage District include:
• Stormwater management and flood control
• Permitting of structures that discharge into District canals
• Maintenance of canals and rights-of-way
• Aquatic w**d control
• Participation in community outreach and educational programs

The Lake Worth Drainage District encompasses approximately 200 square miles in southeastern Palm Beach County. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, on the west by I-95, on the north by Okeechobee Boulevard and on the south by the Hillsboro canal. Included within our boundaries are all or portions of 13 municipalities including:
• City of Atlantis
• City of Boca Raton
• City of Boynton Beach
• City of Delray Beach
• City of Greenacres
• Village of Golf
• Town of Haverhill
• Town of Lake Clarke Shores,
• City of Lake Worth Beach
• Village of Palm Springs
• Village of Royal Palm Beach
• Village of Wellington
• City of West Palm Beach

This Administrative Assistant will support the the Finance Department and Human Resources functions, with responsibilities related to accounts payable, payroll, procurement, human resources, records management, and capital assets.
