A little grey and chilly outside today? Our open house from 11 to 3 today will be a fun place to be. Make a tie die shirt. Check out ambulance and fire equipment. It won't to too cold for ice cream.

Saturday is our favorite day of the year -- Open House at DBEMS. Come by on Saturday and visit with your emergency medical responder neighbors! We'll have a rock wall, bounce house, tie die shirt making, a band (from the music studio next door), lots of giveaways, and displays of ambulances and fire trucks. You can learn about emergency services in our community and stay for hamburgers, hotdogs, popcorn, and ice cream. We are right off the rail trail at Adams Street.

Today we salute Frederick Kyambadde, MS, EMT. Fred is an active EMT at DBEMS and has completed a master's degree in medical pharmacology (M.S.) at the University of Rochester. Fred started riding as an EMT with DBEMS when he was a college undergraduate and we are excited to see him coming back to the Capital Region.

This week we are going to salute some of our 2026 graduates. Pictured is Savannah Scoons, MPH, EMT. Savannah graduated from Tulane University with her Master of Public Health. EMS runs in the family and Savannah is pictured with her Dad -- Dave -- who is a lifelong EMS responder in the Town of Bethlehem. Welcome home Savannah and congratulations. We can't wait to see what's next. Savannah rode ambulance shifts during school breaks and we are glad that she is back home with our EMS response team.

This coming Saturday is our annual Community Open House! Last year we had record attendance in the pouring rain. (It was dry in the big garage). But the forecast for next Saturday is 70 and sunny, so let's break the record. We'll have a rock wall. Make a tie-dye for kids. A band from the music studio next door. Visits from local fire departments. Ice cream by Stewarts. Hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn. Displays about EMS and other services available in our community. And - we give away a lot of stuff!
