🎧🎶 DJ CLASSES START TONIGHT AT DELLWOOD REC! 🎶🎧

Got a teen who loves music? Give them the opportunity to get behind the turntables and learn something new! Our 7-week DJ Training Course kicks off tonight at the Dellwood Recreation Center! 🔥

Participants will explore DJ equipment, beatmatching, mixing, scratching, music selection, and performance skills—all while building confidence and expressing their creativity! 🎵

A special birthday. A meaningful tribute. A promise kept. ❤️

At tonight’s Board of Aldermen meeting, we had the honor of celebrating Dellwood resident Ms. LaVerne Mahoney, who turned 70 years young in August! 🎉💐

Mayor Reggie Jones had planned to present her birthday proclamation at the August meeting, but she was out of town. He said he would make the presentation in September instead. Little did we know then that he would not be here to share this special moment.

Tonight, the Board of Aldermen and City Administrator Terry Wilson made sure his wishes were carried out, presenting Ms. Mahoney with the final proclamation Mayor Jones had planned to personally present.

While we deeply wish he could have been there to hand it to her himself, this presentation was a heartfelt reminder of how much celebrating our residents meant to him. It brought both smiles and a little sadness as we honored Ms. Mahoney’s milestone and his commitment to recognizing her.

Happy 70th birthday, Ms. Mahoney! We are proud to call you a Dellwood resident and wish you many more years of joy, love, and wonderful memories! ❤️

What a great way to start the morning!

Our City of Dellwood Public Works team joined our neighbors in the City of Moline Acres to help kick off Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

We’re always proud to support efforts that bring our North County communities together, especially when it means encouraging men to take their health seriously, get screened, and stay informed.

Thank you to Moline Acres for the invitation and for continuing to shine a light on this important issue. We’re stronger when we show up for one another!

CITY OF DELLWOOD – FUNERAL PROCESSION INFORMATION

Thursday September 3, 2026 Residents are invited to respectfully line West Florissant Avenue, Chambers Road, and nearby public viewing areas as the funeral procession honoring Mayor Reggie Jones travels through Dellwood.

The procession is anticipated to enter the Dellwood area near Keelen Drive and West Florissant between 9:00–9:15 a.m. and travel toward Dellwood City Hall before continuing to New Sunny Mount Baptist Church.

Please expect significant traffic delays and temporary road closures between approximately 9:00–10:00 a.m. and again from 1:00–2:00 p.m.

We encourage residents to arrive early, remain safely out of the roadway, follow all law enforcement directions, and join us in showing our respect for Mayor Jones and his service to our community.

Together, we honor his life, leadership, and legacy.
