Library week is coming!!!!!

So to celebrate our favorite Library around The Dell Rapids Friends of the Library will be supplying our amazing patrons of the Library with caffeine and donuts!! We will also have juice boxes for our Tiny patrons!

So Monday April 20th from opening till supplies run out we will have coffee, juice and donuts FREE to the library patrons! Refresh that stack of books, sit down and work on the puzzle at the main table and catch up with friends!!

Thank the Library staff for all their hard work this year! Summer reading and Summer programming is just around the corner!

So let’s celebrate!!! 🍩☕️🧃

Session 1 is half way over but that’s not the last Bingo session!!

Session 2 starts at 4pm-6pm!!

1st 25 kids will receive Pizza Ranch Kids eat free Passes!

We know it’s beautiful outside but it’s just as beautiful in the legion hall! Come down and win a gift card! Lots of snacks and drinks!

Tomorrow is officially Family Bingo Day!!!!

Grab the kids….Grab the grandparents and head down to the Dell Rapids Legion for a fun day filled with laughter and BINGO!!!!

Sessions are:
1pm-3pm (doors open at 12:30)
4-6pm

💵$5.00 per card for 10-11 rounds of Bingo!

We will have concessions so come hungry!

Congratulations to our favorite library in the 🌎!!

We are excited to announce that our library has been awarded a $10,000 gift from the Carnegie Corporation of New York! This gift is in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence!

The Carnegie Corporation of New York is a philanthropic foundation established by Andrew Carnegie in 1911. Andrew Carnegie envisioned the Carnegie Corporation of New York as a foundation that would "promote the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and understanding" and he believed that libraries are "cradles of democracy."

Of the nearly 1,700 original Carnegie library buildings in the United States, 1,350 are still serving their communities today! In South Dakota, 25 public Carnegie libraries were built, and 8 continue to operate as public libraries within those original buildings, including OURS! The other 17 Carnegie libraries were either turned into other businesses, or were unfortunately damaged or destroyed.

We are so proud to be a Carnegie library! We have the BEST job and the most incredible community who gives us endless support. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you.
