🇺🇸 LAST CALL: HONOR OUR HOMETOWN HEROES 🇺🇸

The Town of Delcambre is proud to participate in the Hometown Heroes Banner Program organized by the Rotary Club of Abbeville—a meaningful initiative honoring the brave men and women of Vermilion Parish who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

⚠️ Tomorrow, April 1, 2026, is the FINAL DAY to sponsor a veteran.

Through this program, banners recognizing local veterans will be proudly displayed around Memorial Day for the next three years—serving as a lasting tribute to their sacrifice, courage, and dedication.

Families, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to sponsor a banner to honor a veteran. This is a special opportunity to publicly recognize a loved one’s service while supporting a program that gives back to our community.

🇺🇸 HONORING OUR HOMETOWN HEROES 🇺🇸

The Town of Delcambre is proud to announce that we are participating in the Hometown Heroes Banner Program organized by the Rotary Club of Abbeville. This meaningful initiative honors the brave men and women from Vermilion Parish who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Through this program, banners recognizing local veterans will be displayed annually around Memorial Day for the next three years, serving as a visible tribute to the sacrifice, courage, and dedication of those who protected our freedoms.

Families, businesses, and organizations are invited to sponsor a banner in honor of a veteran who has served our country. This is a special opportunity to publicly recognize a loved one’s service while supporting community initiatives throughout Vermilion Parish.

LA 14 at Delcambre Canal Bridge, Iberia Parish, Intermittent Bridge Closure

LA 14 at Delcambre Canal Bridge in Iberia Parish will have intermittent closures occurring in 15-minute intervals on Wednesday, February 18 and Thursday, February 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform preventative maintenance on the bridge.

Traffic will be allowed to pass between tests but motorists should expect delays and may wish to pursue alternate routes. Alternate routes consist of LA 89, LA 682 and LA 675.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
