On May 28, 2026, the Orange Township Fire Department officially broke ground on the future home of Fire Station 362! đźš’

This new facility will replace the current Station 362, which has proudly served as home to the department since 1986. The new station will be built on the same property as the Veterans Memorial, the current Station 362, and the Road Facilities Garage.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our community and to the Board for investing in the growth of the fire department so we can continue providing the highest level of service to our residents for years to come.

Our Best for Your Worst.

🚒 We know parking can be tough sometimes, but please don’t park in cul-de-sacs or fire lanes. If you see 'NO PARKING' signs, please respect them, there so emergency vehicles can get where they need to go.

Fire trucks are very large. They need LOTS of room to turn around, set up equipment, and get crews safely to an emergency. When cars block cul-de-sacs or fire lanes, it can slow down firefighters and paramedics when seconds matter most.

So help us help you:
âś… Keep fire lanes clear
✅ Don’t use cul-de-sacs as parking spots
✅ Respect the signs — they’re there for a reason
Because the only thing that should be parked in a fire lane… is a fire truck. 👨‍🚒🔥

🚒 Orange Township Fire Levy – What You Need to Know 🚒

You will see the Orange Township fire levy on the ballot this May and wonder— is this a new tax?

The answer is no.

This levy was originally approved by voters in 2023. The levy on the ballot will replace the expiring levy at the updated rate. While it must appear on the ballot as a “new” levy due to changes in Ohio law, it is intended to continue existing funding—not create an additional tax.

If approved, this levy will:
- Continue current funding for fire and emergency services
- Remain in place for the next 5 years

Your support helps ensure Orange Township can continue providing the high-quality emergency services the Orange Township community depends on every day. Providing our best for your worst.

We’d like to give a big thank you to the Porter-Kingston Fire District for putting on an outstanding 3 day trench rescue training. We also appreciate the City of Delaware Firefighters for providing personnel and trench rescue equipment to help make it happen.
Training alongside neighboring departments like this strengthens coordination and teamwork, all with the same goal in mind, protecting those in Orange Township and throughout Delaware County.

The Orange Township Fire Department's responsibility to keep our community safe is growing.

Today, Orange Township serves almost 40,000 residents, along with major roadways like U.S. Route 23, Interstate 71, and large waterways such as Alum Creek Lake. From busy commuter traffic to water rescues and everything in between, our Fire Department is called to protect a wide range of people, places, and situations every single day.

The upcoming fire levy supports the staffing, equipment, and response capabilities needed to serve a community of this size—while preparing for what’s ahead.

As our township and the Central Ohio region continue to shift, emergency services must be ready to meet changing/new demands.
