Reminder: June 1-4, 2026 the concrete portion of the dam will be closed for this inspection.

Every 5 years a team of inspectors complete a Periodic Inspection of the dam to ensure it can continue operating as designed.

Alum Creek is dedicated to providing safe, clean, and enjoyable facilities for our wonderful visitors. The below dam recreation area is a day use area, similar to other parks in the area. In order to best serve our visitors and maintain our facilities to the highest standard possible, we are installing automatic gates. By Memorial Day, we will begin closing the Below Dam Area at 9pm daily, and re-opening at 5 am. Night fishing is still permitted, but will need to use other parking areas. We thank all of you as we work to balance limited resources and visitor services.

Recent storms took a toll on Maple shelters roof, today it got an upgrade. Hopefully the metal roof will reduce the workload, so our team can focus on other projects.
