The township would like to ask for some help. With the recent snowfall incidents, we have had trucks our Sunday, Monday and again this morning. We anticipate another round tonight or early tomorrow morning.
1. All snow removal/salt trucks move slower, this is to increase efficiency of the plow and salt application.
2. We make stops, turns and back up at various times.
3. If we are plowing not only will snow roll off of the right side but a small amount will be kicked up on the left side.
4. When applying salt, it comes from a spinner on the back of the truck. If does not just drop from the truck.
The list is information we want the motoring public to know. After the last three days of snow removal, we noted drivers following too close and passing in blind curves. Then being too close when the truck is attempting to turn around. This is from our two operators in just Troy Township.
Please give us room to clear the roads.
