⚠️ **Mosquito Spraying Notice**

Weather permitting, Delaware City, in conjunction with the Delaware DNREC Mosquito Control Section, is planning aerial spraying to reduce adult mosquito populations in and around the Delaware City area this evening, June 24, during the 8:00–9:00 PM hour.

The insecticide used will be Trumpet EC, an EPA-registered product used for adult mosquito control. Although not required, residents who wish to reduce exposure may stay indoors with windows closed and A/C off during the application and for up to 30 minutes afterward.

⚠️Juneteenth Event Parking & Vendor Unloading Information⚠️

Please be advised that Clinton street will not be closed for the Juneteenth celebration.

To assist vendors with unloading for our event, a small section of parking spaces will be blocked off in front of Battery Park from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2026.

After 12:00 PM, these spaces will no longer be blocked off and will become first come, first served.

Vendors have been instructed to move their vehicles to the Washington Street parking lot after unloading.

In collaboration with the Friends of the African Union Church Cemetery, the City of Delaware City is excited to once again celebrate Juneteenth through our city-sponsored event honoring freedom, culture, and community! ❤️🖤💚

Join us after the FAUCC Commemorative Service on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Delaware City Battery Park for a day filled with local Black-owned vendors, food trucks, music, cultural entertainment, spoken word, line dancing, health screenings, and a co****le competition with prizes!

The event will conclude with a special 6:00 PM evening concert featuring BEST KEPT SOUL!

Bring your own chair or blanket and celebrate with us!
