My father and my predecessor as Precinct 1 County Commissioner. This was in 1982 and was Martin Wardlaw Day at Laughlin Air Force Base. That day my Dad went up in a T-37 with pilot Captain Daniel Boone. The T-37 was the side by side trainer that was once used at Laughlin for pilot training. My family always teases my Dad that he looks like a cast member from Top Gun! 😂❤️

🚜🌳 Fairgrounds Improvements Are Underway!

Check out the progress at the Val Verde County Fairgrounds! We’ve added a new asphalt stretch of road leading to the back of the arena, providing a smoother and safer ride for those hosting events.

We’ve also added trees and installed speed bumps throughout the fairgrounds to help improve the area for our community. 🌳

And we’re not done yet, more improvements are on the way! We’re proud to continue working on projects that make our community spaces better for everyone.

🚧 Precinct 1 Road Update!

Commissioner Wardlaw and Foreman Mario Cervantes are out at Escondido Estates inspecting the roads and checking on the remaining work following the flood damage from this past July.

A big thank-you to the Precinct 1 Road & Bridge crew for their hard work repairing our roads and helping keep our community moving forward! 👏🏼🤠

Serving our community, one road at a time.
