🌿 A BEAUTIFUL DAY AT DEVILS RIVER STATE NATURAL AREA! 🌿

Today, County Commissioner Juan Carlos Vazquez had the pleasure of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Dan Allen Hughes Unit of Devils River State Natural Area.
What an amazing event! The area is absolutely beautiful, and it was a pleasure to witness this special milestone celebrating the natural beauty of our region and the importance of preserving it for future generations.

Also in attendance were Commissioner Precinct 3, Fernando Garcia; Eddie Morales, Texas State Representative; and Harold Stone, Chief of Staff Texas Senate for Texas State Senator Peter Flores.

A special thank you to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the kind invitation and for hosting such a wonderful event. Commissioner Vazquez also extends his appreciation to Craig Bonds, Chief Operating Officer, and David Yoskowitz, Chief Executive Officer of Texas Parks and Wildlife, for their work and efforts in making this special occasion possible.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this exciting milestone! We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the beauty of Devils River State Natural Area and the continued preservation of Texas' natural treasures for generations to come. 🌿🌵

🏗️ Big things are happening at the Roberto “Bob” Chavira Sports Complex! ⚾️

We’re excited to share that water well drilling is getting underway this morning, while work to construct the parking lot has officially started today. Crews are beginning the work, with concrete pouring to follow as construction moves forward. 💧🅿️

This is another exciting step in bringing the Roberto “Bob” Chavira Sports Complex to life! 🙌

✅ Project is right on schedule.
✅ Work is progressing as planned.
✅ Moving forward as promised by Commissioner Juan Carlos Vazquez.

Rain or shine, Commissioner Juan Carlos Vazquez and the Precinct 2 Road & Bridge crew are working hard to ensure our county roads remain safe, accessible, and passable for all residents and visitors. 🤝❤️

Following the recent flooding at Dolan Creek Road, our crew has been out working diligently to address the conditions and help restore safe passage. We’re pleased to share that Dolan Creek Road is now OPEN! ✅🚗

⚠️ SAFETY REMINDER: Please use caution when traveling through Dolan Creek Road, as heavy equipment and road crews will be working throughout the weekend. Slow down, stay alert, and give our crews plenty of room to work safely.

Our commitment to our community doesn’t stop when the weather gets rough. Commissioner Vazquez and the Precinct 2 team will continue working throughout the weekend to keep our county roads in good shape for the people who depend on them every day. 💙🇺🇸
