While closing up Del Rey Park on Tuesday night, Officer Andoy encountered an individual playing basketball getting in some last minute shots on the court. The individual challenged Officer Andoy to a shooting contest, but little did he know that Officer Andoy has one of the smoothest jump shots on the Peninsula. The tied contest came down to 5 shots from the three-point line, where Officer Andoy hit 4 out of 5 shots to win the game.

Our officers are committed not only to responding to crime, but also strengthening relationships in the community we serve. Throughout their shifts, they take time to step away from calls for service to engage directly with residents—checking in, having conversations, and building meaningful relationships.
