This kid's Huffy BMX style bike was left abandoned in the alley between 5th and Grand in the 500 Block of Cherry for the last few days. If this belongs to anyone we would like to return it. If it is not claimed we will dispose of the bike.

If you are wondering who is the one going around in Del Norte during the day knocking on doors, it is a university student from Ukraine. She is doing a summer exchange program selling educational books and apps for families from young toddler all the way to college prep.

This is Anastasiia's 1st week in Del Norte, so if you see her, don't be shy to tell hi to her. SHE DOES NOT REPRESENT OR IS AFFILIATED with any of the schools. Anastasiia is legit and has a solidity permission in the town. She is driving a black Mazda SUV with NM state plates. On Monday May 18th 2026

The Del Norte Police Department Executed a Search Warrant at 375 Columbia Ave.

This was in reference to a case involving a Domestic Violence situation where an arrest was made on Saturday May 16th 2026, we learned there were multiple fi****ms located inside the residence. Due to the party who was arrested being a convicted felon, a Search Warrant was requested and obtained through the 12th Judicial District.

The (Fast Action Special Tactics) F.A.S.T team was utilized to assist with securing the residence and all parties that may have been located within the residence due to safety concerns for all parties involved.

During the search warrant, one handgun and twelve ri**es were seized along with numerous rounds of am******on for all fi****ms found within the residence.

This remains an active investigation.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.

The Del Norte Police Department wants to thank the Rio Grande County Sheriff's Office and the Saguache County Sheriff's Office for their assistance.
