The Del City Fire Department was proud to donate much-needed surplus radios to Logan County Emergency Management this week. These radios will help support multiple fire departments by improving communication, interoperability, and emergency response capabilities throughout the region.

We are thankful for the partnership with Logan County Emergency Management and appreciate their efforts in getting these radios into the hands of the departments that need them most. Working together and supporting our neighboring agencies helps make all of our communities safer.

Sergeant Shelton is back and he's here to talk about Bunker Gear under 3 Minutes! ⛑

Find out about the specific helmet the DCFD uses, how DRD (Drag Rescue Devices) are used, and just how long it takes a firefighter to get their pants and boots on? 🥾🥾

Pop Quiz: Can you guess how fast Sergeant Shelton claims a firefighter can suit up? Spoiler alert: It's faster than you can find your other sock in the morning.

How long does it take you to get pants and shoes on? Try pulling on sweatpants over your regular clothes and time yourself against friends and family. Remember, no cheating with Velcro shoes, and safety first, no one wants to explain an injury caused by an overly vigorous pants race!
