Welsh Park is one of the most important locations to achieving the goals of the Annie Glidden North Revitalization Plan. Check out the information on the Summer Lunch at the Park returning again this summer and providing free lunches to any child 0-18.

The lunch is a partnership between First United Methodist Church of DeKalb and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Attention all incoming and outgoing 5th grade Dual Language students!
Do you want to continue practicing your Spanish reading, comprehension, and discussion skills over the summer? Join Ms. Martinez for a fun and flexible Summer Reading Book Club!

This summer we will be reading Yo Noemí León by Pam Muñoz Ryan completely in Spanish while holding discussions in both Spanish and English to help strengthen understanding and confidence in both languages.

📖 We will meet virtually twice a week throughout the summer.
🎥 Can’t make every session? No problem! Videos will be posted in Google Classroom so you can catch up anytime.

Fifth graders made Pequeño Picasso in art class with materials provided by the DeKalb Education Foundation grant Mrs. Cardella was awarded this spring.

Yesterday we celebrated Asian American Pacific Islander month with activities like yoga, Japanese writing, making crafts, a talk by Holly Kim, and some yummy snacks at the end of the day.

Our 5th annual Hootie Hustle color run was a massive success! 🏃‍♂️💨 The kids had an absolute blast and ended up covered head-to-toe in every color of the rainbow. Nothing beats seeing those bright, colorful smiles! 🌈🦉✨
