Exciting changes on the horizon for Hopkins Pool!

⛱ PUBLIC POOL ANNOUNCEMENT🌊 The DeKalb Park District and the Park Board are making a BIG SPLASH with an announcement about the pool! 💦 We are thrilled to officially announce the renovation of Hopkins Pool, bringing you an enhanced aquatic facility for even more fun and enjoyment for future generations to come! 😲😎 What does this mean? Hopkins Pool will be CLOSED for the entire summer of 2024. We understand this may temporarily disrupt your summer plans, but we are confident the end result will be worth it. We will keep the public informed on the progress, timeline of the project, and all the exciting developments on our website. 👷‍♀️HOPKINS PARK PATH CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚧 We will be seal-coating and crack-filling paths, August 7-9, from the Dresser Road entrance to Hopkins Park, north to the Country Club Golf Course, through the woods, past the Sanitary District to Hillcrest. And Hillcrest to 1st Street on School District property, 1st Street to Lucinda on NIU property. We appreciate your patience!

Pardon our progress!

👷‍♀️CORRECTION🚧The walking path at HOPKINS PARK will tentatively be closed from April 24 - May 8 as part of our walking trail repavement project. The path will be closed from Royal Drive to the Pedestrian Bridge to the ballfields. We apologize for any inconvenience as we make park improvements!

Exciting news for Hopkins Park!

We are so excited to share that the DeKalb Park District has been approved to receive $507,000 from the Department of Natural Resources FY 2023 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant program!
