Who is ready for preschool orientation? If you have registered your child to attend pre-k through the WISE Center office, please note that they will have their own facility next year called “DeFuniak Springs Learning Center.”
If you haven’t registered your child yet, please stop by the WISE Center’s office to get a packet! Register quickly as the open spots are filling up.

Do you have a 4 year old child? Enroll them into our VPK program! Our pre-k program allows students to get familiar with school routines, learn foundational skills like letter & number identification, and grow social-emotional behavior too before attending elementary school. Be sure to follow the steps on the flyer to get your child enrolled! Please keep in mind to enroll quickly as spots are filling up each day.

*DeFuniak Springs Learning Center packets will be available at WISE Center for the time being. If you have questions, feel free to call WISE and we will try to assist you.

Are you preparing for August yet? Just in case you like to plan ahead, here is our information for orientation for WISE Center students for the 2026-2027 school year. We can’t wait to see you there!

Can you believe that it’s been a week since these pre-k students graduated and officially became kindergarteners? (We can’t either!!)
Remember to keep practicing counting (counting objects & counting to 30), identifying shapes as you drive down the road, and name letters & names when you see them! Maybe even get some sidewalk chalk or a bowl of water & a stick to practice writing your first name. Keep working on these skills to keep that knowledge fresh to remain ready for kindergarten!

If you have a child ready to be enrolled in VPK, check out the flyer pinned to our page and/or stop by the WISE Center office next week to get a packet of information. Please keep in mind our spots are filling up and it is a first come basis. Be sure to secure your spot quickly!

Parents and families - Thank you for another EPIC year. Please have a fun, safe and relaxing summer. A good way to beat the summer heat is to turn the AC down and read a good book… because Reading is COOL! 😎

And just like that, the 2025-2026 school year has come to a close! Enjoy your summer, stay EPIC, and KEEP THE CHARGE until we see you again in August!

Pre-K graduation would not be possible without Mr. Cotton & his students! They volunteer their time to set up the projector that plays the cute little video recap of our school year’s memories and make sure the music/sound is prepared for the ceremony. We are so grateful for their dedication to help even our youngest students.
There are so many others that work so hard to make this event successful. Everyone from our office staff checking in guests to our custodial crew making sure tables are set up and everything is cleaned to our teachers and aides who prepare the decorations and practice the songs with students over and over to the families for showing up to support your pre-k student in this milestone to Coach Varnum for letting us take over the gym - THANK YOU!

Our May students of the month enjoyed a special Chick Fil A lunch with Mr. Johnson yesterday! We are so proud of their commitment to continue doing their best. Congratulations to these students!

A few of our juniors visited local businesses to present them with thank you cards for donating towards our Senior Banquet! We are so grateful for the support of our community. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
