NOTICE TO TRAIL USERS

Rail Trail Work – Riddlesburg to Hopewell

Township employees will be working along the Rail Trail from Riddlesburg to Hopewell in preparation for blacktopping this section of the trail this week starting September 14, 2026.

During this work, there will be construction activity, equipment, and temporary hazards along the trail. Trail users are asked to avoid this section whenever possible while the work is being completed.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work to improve and maintain the Rail Trail for everyone’s enjoyment.

The Broad Top Township Board of Supervisors wishes to inform residents that, effective July 8, 2026, temporary police services will be provided by the Saxton Borough Police Department under an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement. Officers from the Saxton Borough Police Department will be patrolling Broad Top Township and responding to calls for service during this temporary arrangement.

This Saturday July 11, 2026 is bulky waste day for Broad Top Twp & Coaldale Borough residents.

Broad Top Township would like to inform residents that enforcement of the Junk Vehicle Ordinance will begin very soon.

Property owners are encouraged to assess their properties and address any vehicles that may be considered in violation of the ordinance. Taking care of these items now may help avoid receiving an official notice of violation and any required enforcement action.

The purpose of this ordinance is to help maintain safe, clean, and attractive neighborhoods while protecting property values throughout the township.
