The Deerfield Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency serving a community of approximately 5,100 residents in an area encompassing 53 square miles (the largest in Rockingham County). We are a community-oriented policing agency, focusing on community partnerships and problem solving in order to maintain and/or improve the quality of life the citizens of Deerfield expect. Our agen
cy is staffed with eight full time certified officers to include the Chief of Police, Lieutenant, Sergeant, and five patrol officers. We have an Administrative Assistant who provides secretarial, record keeping, and clerical support on a full time basis. The patrol function is also supplemented with one part-time patrol officer who is utilized to fill open shifts and provide extra manpower during community events. We also have one per diem Animal Control Officer who handles domestic animal calls in town.
