Meet Maximo the absolutely beautiful male Great Pyrenees mix that is now available for adoption at the Deer Park Animal Shelter and adoption Center. Maximo is an adult approximately 10 months old. He is super friendly and loves everyone he has met at our shelter. This big boy needs a great home. Football season starts this week and what better companion to have you root on your team then our boy Maximo. If you are interested in him please swing by the shelter today. We're so excited for this years Woofstock music lineup. Opening band will be Everlong. Everlong is a Foo Fighters cover band that have been rocking together for a long time. Our headliner this year is no stranger to Woofstock. Logan Soileau brings a mix of rock, country and soul to the stage every time he performs. You won't want to miss it.

Heidi Weidi is a Australian Cattle Dog mix that is ready to be adopted. After being fostered for several months this sweet girl is now ready to find a forever home. Heidi is great with other pets and is already SPAYED and up to date on her vaccinations. Heidi adoption fee has also been sponsored. We are just needing for someone to adopt this sweet girl. Football season is about to kick off and Heidi would make a great couch companion to help you cheer for your team or cry (if you're a cowboys fan). CALLING ALL VENDORS!!!!
We are looking for vendors for our Woofstock event that is just around the corner. Woofstock will take place at Dow Park on September 26th from 2-7pm. There will be several other local animal shelter and rescue groups present and we are looking to fill around 70 vendor spots. If you are a vendor that's interested or if you have already joined us for one of our events in the past please come by the shelter and sign up today! Vendor spots are only $25 and they will FILL UP FAST. We can only do sign ups in person at the shelter. We are located at 4221 Luella Ave, in Deer Park. UPDATE: BOTH GUINEA PIGS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED

We recently had two guinea pigs brought into our shelter. The white and black one was found abandoned at a local park. The tricolored one was surrendered to the shelter. We are unsure if they are male or female. We are hoping to find them a home ASAP. If you or someone you know is interested please swing by the shelter today. Adoption fee is only $10. They did not come in together so they will not be able to be together if both adopted by the same person.

We may have gone a little overboard trying to make a viral video for Woofstock. 😂
There were TikTok trends.
There was dancing.
There was a very questionable performance by the Barkstreet Boys. 🎤🐶
But after all that, we realized something…
We really don’t need a viral video. We just need to tell people there are DOGS. 🐶❤️

And not just any dogs — amazing dogs looking for their forever homes. 🏡🐾
