We’ll be spending the summer updating and refreshing our website to reflect all of the exciting changes happening in our district. We appreciate your patience as these updates will take some time to complete!

In the meantime, we’ve already started making a few updates, including a feature highlighting our new Deer Lodge Junior High/Powell County High School Principal for grades 7–12, Courtney Prosenick. Be sure to check it out, and keep an eye on our website as we continue adding new information throughout the summer!

Reminder to all parents of students entering 7th grade this fall: the Tdap booster is Required prior to attending school on August 24th! This immunization can be received at your child's health provider, Deer Lodge Medical Center, and even at the Safeway pharmacy! Not sure if your child has already had this booster? Contact County Health Nurse Sam Ray at 406.691.0242. Please bring the updated immunization record to Powell County High School/Deer Lodge Junior High August 10-22 or email it to [email protected].

Our K–5 students celebrated the end of the school year with a wonderful awards assembly today! We recognized many student achievements, and we extend a special thank you to the Masons for presenting their annual Kindles. One lucky student also rode away with a brand-new bike!

As the assembly came to a close, there were plenty of smiles, memories, and a few tears as we said goodbye to Mrs. Good, Ms. Rodriguez, Mrs. Clute, and Mrs. Smith. We also gave a heartfelt farewell to Principal Chrisman and thanked him for his dedication and leadership.

What a fun lunch day for our students! Today, lunches were served on frisbees thanks to the generosity of the Breanna Arae Rome Foundation. Every student received a frisbee—including our cold lunch kiddos—making lunchtime a little more special and a lot more fun. Thank you, Breanna Arae Rome Foundation, for your thoughtful donation! ☀️

Kayleigh Good and Brody Pomeroy won the Elks Students of the Year!
