It was a great morning with the Wadena-Deer Creek Public Schools Kindergartners visiting the Fire Department. Fire safety demonstrations, walking thru the fire trucks,trying on fire gear and ending with goodies to go.

Deer Creek Fire and Rescue paid a special visit to Travis Collins tonight. We presented him with a retirement gift and thanked him for his 24 years of dedicated service to our department, the community of Deer Creek and the surrounding region.

Even in his retirement as a full time fireman, Travis continues to support our department as a reserve firefighter and a training instructor. We wish him the very best !
