๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿž September is Whole Grains Month! ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿš

This September, celebrate the goodness of whole grains and discover delicious ways to add them to your meals! Whole Grains Month encourages us to explore new recipes, cooking tips, and simple swaps that can help make healthy eating a little easier.

Try adding more whole grains to your day by:
โœ… Choosing whole wheat bread instead of white bread
โœ… Swapping brown rice for white rice
โœ… Starting your morning with oatmeal
โœ… Experimenting with grains like quinoa, barley, or farro

Remember, healthy eating doesn't have to be all or nothing. Small changes can make a big difference over time! Whole Grains Month is the perfect opportunity to try something new in the kitchen and enjoy the great taste and versatility of whole grains.

What's your favorite whole grain recipe or grain-based dish? Share your ideas in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Come join the Decatur County 4-H Land judging team! Open to anyone in 6th-12th grade.

First Practice will be at the UT Extension - Decatur County on September 4th from 3-4

4-H Land Judging gives youth the opportunity to explore the science of soil and water conservation through hands-on learning.

Participants learn how to evaluate the landโ€™s physical characteristics, such as texture, slope, drainage, and erosion. These skills help them make informed decisions about land use, crop production, and environmental protection.

By learning to judge the potential and limitations of different soils, youth gain valuable insight into how land management affects agriculture, construction, and natural resources.
