Today is National Newspaper Carrier Day. My first job was a paper carrier for The Decatur Tribune. Price collected was .80 cents a month. For years I would be recognized by people I delivered to. In fact, one lady the other day remembered me when I was campaigning at her door. Not many carriers any more but I salute those still out there!
