As always, our dining room is open today, and we’ll be serving a fresh meal from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

We’re incredibly grateful for the volunteers and donors who make it possible for us to continue showing up for our neighbors every day — including holidays.

Meet Alexis, one of the hardworking faces behind Mercy Gardens!

Since joining Good Samaritan Inn this summer, Alexis has spent her weeks helping care for the gardens and connecting with neighbors at Mercy Market. Right now, she’s busy tending the mums that will be available for purchase at our Fall Festival on September 10.

Come see what Alexis and our team have been growing, enjoy some fall fun and take a little piece of Mercy Gardens home with you.

We are excited to welcome Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur to our community, and even more excited to share that Good Samaritan Inn has been chosen as their local partner for the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program!

Through this partnership, surplus food from the new restaurant will be donated to Good Samaritan Inn, helping us turn good food into meals for our neighbors instead of letting it go to waste.

For us, this partnership is about more than food. It is another example of what can happen when local businesses choose to be intentional about caring for the community they call home.

We are incredibly grateful to Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur for choosing to support our mission as they put down roots in the Forsyth-Decatur community.

During the festival, guests will have the opportunity to tour the garden, see the new mural, and learn more about how Mercy Gardens supports Good Samaritan Inn’s mission to increase access to healthy food throughout the community.

Fall is a season of gathering, and we’d love to gather with our community at Mercy Gardens.

Join us Thursday, September 10 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM for our Mercy Gardens Fall Festival. We’ll have food, family-friendly activities, pumpkins, mums, and a chance to spend some time together at the gardens.

Mercy Gardens is about more than growing produce. It’s about creating access to fresh food, bringing people together, and helping build a more food-secure community. This event is a chance to celebrate that work and the neighbors who make it possible.

Yesterday, we ran out of the meal we had originally planned to serve.

But our neighbors were still coming.

So we warmed up what we had left, pulled together leftovers, and kept serving.

Because hunger doesn’t stop when the planned meal runs out, and neither do we.

Every day, we do everything we can to make sure the people who walk through our doors leave with a meal and the reminder that their community cares.

Nourish our neighbors today and build a more food-secure community tomorrow.
