Our school-age class had such a fun and exciting time celebrating the start of summer and Circus Week! For the first day of summer, the kids worked together to create a colorful rainbow craft while learning about teamwork, creativity, and colors. During Circus Week, the children had a blast making their own silly clown masks using bright colors and fun decorations to show off their creativity. We also enjoyed a special face painting activity where the kids got to choose fun circus-inspired designs, making the week even more exciting and memorable. The children loved expressing themselves through art and having fun with their friends all week long!

This week is Nutrition Week, and we are learning all about healthy and unhealthy foods. For our craft, we made a healthy plate by separating different food groups like fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins. We got to draw the healthy foods we like, which made learning about good nutrition fun and creative!

Today we played in our new centers for the month, which are the weather station for science and a pet clinic for dramatic play. The kids loved them and were very excited to get to play and explore in these fun new areas!

On Cinco de Mayo, we learned all about why this day is celebrated, discovering its historical significance. We had a lot of fun making sombreros by coloring and then turning our artwork into hats. It was a great way for the kids to enjoy a creative activity while learning so much about the meaning and traditions of Cinco de Mayo.

Pre K 3 - We recycled strawberry containers for planting flowers. We also made an oil and water sensory bottle from a soap container and played a counting game!

Pre K 4 - practicing our scissor skills outdoors cutting grass!
