A 25 year resident of District 5, Allison has also lived in Nashville, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Auburn and Tuscaloosa. Having lived in other communities as well as Decatur, she has vision about how Decatur could move into the future. Allison has extensive knowledge about city government. She served ten years as the City Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Madison, Alabama. She grew up exposed to politics through her father, Decatur Mayor J. Gilmer Blackburn. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
