Earlier this week, our 8th graders, along with members of the DPA Band & Glee Clubs, celebrated the end of an incredible school year with a memorable trip full of fun, laughter, music, and lasting memories! 🐾🎶🎓❤️

As these students prepare to move on to the next chapter, this trip served as a well-deserved celebration of their hard work, dedication, growth, and accomplishments throughout the year. From performances and rehearsals to classroom success and unforgettable moments with friends, this group has truly left their mark on DPA.

We are so proud of our students for the way they continue to represent our school community with talent, spirit, and Bulldog pride. Thank you to our staff, sponsors, and chaperones who helped make this experience special for our students.

Memories made. Bonds strengthened. A chapter closed… and a new one ready to begin. ❤️🖤

Today may have been the last day of school for students…, but the work continues at DPA! 🐾📚❤️

Our staff spent today focused on professional development, collaboration, and preparing for an even stronger 2026–27 school year through the development of our SMART goals — Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound goals designed to create clear direction, accountability, and growth for our school community.

Throughout the summer and into the upcoming school year, we will continue planning, building, learning, and preparing to create an even better educational experience for our students and families. Because at DPA, growth never stops and excellence is always the goal.

We’re already preparing for a better day at DPA. ❤️🖤

On Friday, we proudly celebrated the DPA Class of 2026 as our incredible 8th graders officially completed an important chapter of their journey! 🎓🐾❤️

From our students who joined DPA during their very first year of middle school, thank you for allowing DPA to be a staple in your middle school experience and growth. To our Legacy Award recipients who have spent the last 9 years growing with us from the very beginning — thank you for being a part of the heart and history of our school community. And even to the students whose first and only year with us was this one, thank you for allowing DPA to be a part of your story and journey as well. Every single student in this class has left their mark on our school in their own unique way.

This class has grown tremendously over the years — academically, personally, and as leaders within our building. We are beyond proud of the young men and women you are becoming and grateful to have been a part of your journey.

As you move on to high school and the next chapter of life, continue believing in yourselves, working hard, and striving for greatness. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog! ❤️🖤🎓

As we close out graduation and promotional season, we also want to take a moment to recognize and congratulate our incredible DPA Track athletes on an outstanding spring season! 🐾🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️❤️

In just the 2nd year of DPA Track, our Bulldogs continued to make history and represent both DPA and DeKalb County at the highest level:

🥈 Kingston R. (6th Grade) – 2nd in the State, 14U Boys 100m Hurdles
🥉 Nygel S. (6th Grade) – 3rd in the State, 14U Boys 100m Hurdles
🏅 Morgan U. (8th Grade) – 12th in the State, 14U Girls 100m Hurdles
🏅 Taylor G. (4th Grade) – 6th in the State, 10U Girls Softball Throw

We are beyond proud of the dedication, growth, discipline, and perseverance shown by all of our athletes throughout the season. From practices and meets to district and state competition, our Bulldogs continued to compete with heart, determination, and pride every step of the way.

A very special thank you and shoutout to this year’s coaching staff: Coach Sawyers, Coach Boatwright, Coach Midgette, Coach McCray, Coach Newell, and Coach Young for the time, leadership, and commitment poured into our student-athletes this season.

Earlier this week, we celebrated our amazing 6th- and 7th-grade Bulldogs as they officially advanced to the next grade level! 🐾🎓❤️

Although these grade levels are often overlooked during promotion season, these students are stepping into major leadership roles within the building. As they move forward, they will help set the tone, culture, and example for the younger Bulldogs who look up to them every single day. 📚✨

We are incredibly proud of the growth, maturity, hard work, and perseverance this group has shown throughout the school year. Congratulations on reaching another important milestone as you continue preparing for even greater responsibilities and opportunities ahead! 👏🖤

Today we celebrate one of the biggest milestones in our Bulldogs’ journey — 8th Grade Graduation! ❤️🖤

This class has worked hard, grown tremendously, overcome challenges, created unforgettable memories, and now officially prepares to take the next big step into high school. We could not be more proud of the resilience, leadership, growth, and determination shown by the Class of 2025 throughout their time at DPA.

Earlier this week, our Kindergarten Bulldogs celebrated a HUGE milestone during their graduation ceremony! 🎓🐾❤️

What may seem like a small step is truly the beginning of a lifelong educational journey filled with growth, learning, friendships, and unforgettable memories. We are so proud of how much our students have grown academically, socially, and personally throughout the school year.

From learning their letters and numbers to building confidence and independence, this class has accomplished so much — and this is only the beginning! ✨

We also want to take a moment to celebrate two of our amazing parents along with our Support Person of the Year for their dedication, service, and continued support of the DPA community. 👏❤️

A huge congratulations to our Kindergarten graduates, their families, and our incredible educators who continue to pour love, patience, and dedication into helping our youngest Bulldogs succeed every day.

Earlier this week, on Tuesday, we had the opportunity to celebrate our amazing 3rd and 4th-graders as they were promoted to the next grade level! 🐾🎓❤️

These are such pivotal years in a student’s educational journey as confidence grows, academic foundations become stronger, and students begin preparing for even greater responsibility and leadership in the years ahead. Our Bulldogs have continued to work hard, grow, and rise to the occasion throughout the school year, and we are incredibly proud of all they’ve accomplished. 📚✨
