🏀 Proficiency Training Skill Lab Opens November 2nd!

Proficiency Training LLC is opening enrollment for its upcoming Skill Lab, a structured basketball development program designed to help young athletes improve their fundamentals, confidence, basketball IQ, footwork, shooting mechanics, and overall performance.

High School | Ages 14–18
Mondays & Wednesdays | 5:15–6:30 PM
Begins November 2nd

Elementary–Middle School | Ages 8–13
Tuesdays & Thursdays | 5:15–6:30 PM
Begins November 3rd

Families can purchase a training package online and receive a unique scheduling code, allowing them to schedule their available sessions around their needs.

🎟️ There’s also a Skill Lab raffle! Two athletes will receive a one-month membership, including 8 training sessions. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

We are excited to welcome Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur to our community, and even more excited to share that Good Samaritan Inn has been chosen as their local partner for the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program!

Through this partnership, surplus food from the new restaurant will be donated to Good Samaritan Inn, helping us turn good food into meals for our neighbors instead of letting it go to waste.

For us, this partnership is about more than food. It is another example of what can happen when local businesses choose to be intentional about caring for the community they call home.

We are incredibly grateful to Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur for choosing to support our mission as they put down roots in the Forsyth-Decatur community.

Our Free Commercial LED Lighting Day is Wednesday, September 9, at First Christian Church, with pickup from 8 AM to 1 PM or direct shipping for larger orders. The Mosaic Café inside the church will be open until 11 AM for coffee while you are on site.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Decatur Counseling Center, LLC’s rebranding. The turnout was great, the refreshed office was welcoming, and the refreshments hit the spot!

Congratulations to Burmeister Family & Cosmetic Dental on welcoming Dr. Ellison Tippitt and Dr. Joslynn Smith to its team. We were pleased to mark the occasion with a ribbon cutting and help introduce both doctors to the community.

As the practice grows its team, it strengthens the care available to local families, and we are glad to see two more dental professionals building their careers in Decatur. We wish Dr. Tippitt and Dr. Smith many successful years here, and we thank their team for its continued investment in the community.
