FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS AND TEENS: Decatur City Schools is proud to host the Summer Meal Program! Free healthy meals are available to any child 18 years old and younger living in Decatur and Morgan County. No registration or sign-ups are required.

Please review the program dates, service times, and participating school locations below:

📅 Dates: June 1 – June 25, 2026
📅 Days: Monday through Thursday

⏰ Daily Meal Times:
Breakfast: 7:40 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Important Program Guidelines:
Dine-In Only: All meals must be eaten on-site.
Child Presence: The child must be physically present at the site to receive a meal.

First grade had a great time playing kickball today! These students were caught Being Unusually Good having great sportsmanship and cheering on their team despite the score! Way to go First grade Bulldogs: Riley Pliner, Cruse Chandler, Lola Patterson, Sofie Richardson, Sebastian Juan-Sebastian, and Skylar Collier.

Today was our final AR reward. Students enjoyed popsicles, giant bubbles, sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, the playground, and hula hoops!

We started our morning off with the Decatur Youth Symphony and then had a blast at our testing incentive water day! Thank you to all the volunteers, our amazing DCMS PTO, our partners in education River Bank & Trust, who also fed us lunch, and our teachers! What a FUN filled day! 🎻💦💙💛
