The Department also has a civilian Records Unit, Crime Analysis Unit, Parking Enforcement Officers, Digital Forensic Examiners, and Police Support Officers. 🎓 Today, we proudly celebrate the graduation of our first D.A.R.E. class with Decatur Public Schools #61! 🎓

Over the past several weeks, students have learned valuable lessons about making safe and responsible decisions, building confidence, handling peer pressure, and choosing healthy paths for their future.

D.A.R.E. graduates were honored to have Chief of Police Brad Allen speak during the graduation ceremony, sharing words of encouragement and recognizing the hard work and dedication of each student throughout the program.

D.A.R.E. is more than a classroom program—it’s about building trust, strengthening our community, and empowering young people to make positive choices both now and in the future.

We are proud of each and every one of you and look forward to seeing all you accomplish. 👏💙
